MY STORY I am so glad that you are visiting my web-site today. I believe our paths have crossed for a reason. As a Wellness Coach, my purpose is inspiring people to live their best life, lives filled with continual self-care and self-love. In 1995, When I became a mother, my responsibilities seemed to become unbearable and non-stop and that left very little time for me. I was taking care of everyone else but myself. I wondered what it would take for me to successfully balance all of my responsibilities and roles daily. My roles as a wife, mother, friend, daughter, sister, and small business owner had taken over and there was no “me” time. I found myself feeling lost and exhausted. Even though I had so much, something was missing from my life. I tried to ignore this feeling and to focus on my family, but it would not go away. I began reading every self-improvement book that I could get my hands on. I read books authored by Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, Deepak Chopra and Debbie Ford to name a few. For two years, I submerged myself in the information from these books in hopes of finding what was missing in my life. During this time, I found myself feeling guilty as I took weekend retreats away from my family to read, meditate and to be in silence. The guilt of taking precious time away from my family felt wrong and it was a heavy burden to carry; yet it was necessary. Soon I began to see the benefit of these retreats in my life. I felt more energized, rested, relaxed, and I felt appreciated. It took about three years and over that period of time I slowly and genuinely began to love myself. It was a lot of work and it was not always easy. My husband of fifteen years would question why I had to take time away from the family and I would ask him to be patient with me because I needed time be with myself. Deep down inside I knew that if I did not take this time for myself that I would not be happy in my marriage. Eventually, I discovered the reason for my self-care retreats. It was my journey to self-love. I taught myself what unconditional self-love is by being with myself and loving myself. It was during this journey that I discovered a direct connection between my health, how I took care of my body, my mind and spirit. So, I began exercising. I worked out at the gym daily, my eating habits improved and I developed a passion for exercise. The next thing I knew in 2004, I became a Certified Fitness Instructor. I really stepped out of my comfort zone because now I was teaching in front of large groups of people. I loved it and my class size began to grow when the word got out about my teaching style. During my first year of teaching, a strong desire came over me to connect with my students on another level. I wanted to coach them in other areas of their life beside fitness. I found that after exercising there were times when we had discussions that were similar to one a coach would have with a client. In 2005, I began studying at Coach University to become a Life Coach. As my studies progressed, I began to coach clients that had concerns with taking time to care for themselves. Mostly mothers that were going through the same experience I had in my earlier years. As the issues came up one after another I could relate because I had been through it myself. In 2005, I decided to partner with Warm Spirit. In addition to coaching, I wanted to offer my clients the products that would assist them in taking time to pamper themselves on a regular basis. I know first hand how important self-care is on the journey to self-love. My life has never been the same. The combination of fitness, life coaching, and nature-based products evolved into a business that is my calling. I am a self-made Wellness Coach. Today, I work with people like you. I inspire them to live their best life; to live to their potential and to take care of themselves in the process. I invite you contact me and schedule a complementary session to discuss how we might partner for your success. Blessings, Linda Yerby |
